Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before your first visit. If your question is not answered here, just ask — we are happy to help.

General

Where are you located and is there parking?

We are at 2 Midsea Lane in Pembroke, Bermuda, with parking available on site.

Do you see children?

Yes, for selected services. Please call us first so we can confirm the right practitioner and treatment for your child.

Your first visit

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a full consultation, usually 60 to 90 minutes. We take a detailed history — not just your current symptoms, but your lifestyle, stressors, sleep, diet, and what has already been tried.

From there we agree on a plan. That might mean functional blood analysis to get a clearer picture, starting a specific therapy, or simply making a few changes and reviewing in a few weeks.

What should I bring with me?

Bring any recent blood work or test results, a list of medications and supplements you currently take, and details of any diagnoses you have received. If you have records from another practitioner, those help too.

Arriving ten minutes early gives you time to complete your intake forms without feeling rushed.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly with us. If we think another practitioner should be involved in your care, we will say so.

Appointments & booking

How do I book an appointment?

You can request an appointment through the form on this site, or call us on 441-601-8008. We will get back to you within one business day to confirm a time and talk through what to expect.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can offer the slot to someone else. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged.

How long will I need to wait for an appointment?

We can often see new patients within the same week. Availability varies by practitioner and treatment, so it is worth asking.

Treatments & services

How is functional medicine different from seeing my regular doctor?

Conventional medicine is very good at diagnosing and treating disease. Functional medicine asks a different question: why is this happening in the first place?

We spend longer with you, look at systems rather than isolated symptoms, and use testing to find imbalances before they become a diagnosable condition. It works alongside your regular medical care, not instead of it.

Are these treatments safe?

Every therapy we offer is delivered by trained clinical staff, and we screen for contraindications before starting anything. Some treatments are not suitable for everyone — for example if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or take certain medications.

That is exactly what the initial consultation is for. We will always tell you honestly if something is not right for you.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends entirely on what you are working on. Some people notice a difference after one session of IV therapy or red light therapy; addressing a chronic issue usually takes a course of treatment over several weeks.

We will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation rather than committing you to an open-ended plan.

Can I continue my current medication?

Yes. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it. Tell us everything you are taking so we can make sure nothing we offer interacts with it.

Pricing & insurance

How much do treatments cost?

Pricing depends on the treatment and whether you are booking a single session or a course. We will always confirm the cost with you before anything is booked — there are no surprises.

Call us on 441-601-8008 or send a message and we will talk you through it.

Do you accept insurance?

Some services may be claimable depending on your policy and provider. We can give you a detailed receipt to submit, but we recommend checking directly with your insurer about what they cover before you book.

Still have a question?

Our team is happy to talk things through before you commit to anything.
